Ang Ziqi Zhang
Ang is a painter and DJ vacillating between New Haven, CT and Brooklyn, NY. They are currently pursuing their MFA in Painting/Printmaking at the Yale School of Art (expected graduation spring 2023). An ongoing investigation into how affect functions within the built environment under late capitalism, their practice takes up the modes of painting, printmaking, throwing parties, and DJing to scramble everyday orders and privilege feeling. They received their BA in Visual Arts from the University of Chicago in 2016 and have since exhibited their work at Produce Model Gallery and Goodweather Gallery in Chicago, Night Club in Minneapolis, Each Modern in Taipei, Taiwan, and Fonda Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany.
